Beetroot 'Burpees Golden' is a sweet-tasting and brilliant-looking beetroot, it's fantastic for mixing with the purple in a salad
I sow one row of orange next to a row of purple and harvest a few roots of both each time. Germination is sporadic so sow plenty of seeds.

- Cultivation
- Soak seed in warm water for half an hour before sowing. Sow into gutters from March or direct sow every 3-4 weeks from early April-July. Sow thinly in rows with a row gap of 30cm (12in), or sow in blocks. Thin to 5-6cm (2in).
Care Tips
Don't water unless soil is very parched, over-watering encourages leaf at the expense of root. Fantastic planted with chamomile, onions and lettuce.
