- Sow under cover March-May, 2 seeds 1cm (1/2 in) deep into pots or modules. Remove weaker seedling if both grow. Plant out May-July, when seedlings are about 7cm high, spacing 60cm apart.
Care Tips
Protect from Cabbage White butterfly and wood pigeons with fruit nets or micro mesh. Stake and/or build soil up around the stem to support it. Remove any yellowing or fallen leaves to prevent fungal diseases setting in.
