Plant into the final position in late summer/early autumn. Space plants out to evenly, plant firmly and keep moist until established and protect from pigeons!

Description

A colourful and tasty addition to our veg garden last winter, for picking from autumn, right through winter until the spring. Every one of these are delicious, their leaves picked small, for adding sparkle into a mixed salad bowl, or their slightly larger leaves for a mixed colour dish of wilted kale.

This collection contains 3 seedling each of:
  • Kale 'Peacock White' F1
  • Kale 'Candy Floss'
  • Kale 'Buttonhole Starmaker'
  • Kale 'Emerald Ice'
  • Kale 'KX-1'

Care Tips

Grows best on soil which has been manured the previous autumn. Protect against cabbage white butterflies with fine netting. Firm the soil well around plant base to prevent wind rock and provide stakes to support tall plants in autumn.
