If I was only allowed to take one winter-flowering perennial to a desert island, it would be this

It flowers from November to March (followed perfectly by it’s brother H. b. ‘Merlin’) to give the most elegant, stylish and reliable cut flowers, and rich saucer blooms for growing in dappled shade. It’s pewter-green, crimson leaves are handsome too.

Unlike most of its family, once it has dropped its stamens, sear the stems ends in boiling water for 15 seconds and it will never flop in the vase, and then lasts for over 10 days. I absolutely love it.

On occasion we may need to send you an alternative variety to the one shown, which will be selected by our growing team to ensure its suitability. It will be of equal or greater value to the original. Please contact our customer service team if there are any problems.
