- Sow under cover March-May, lightly covering seeds with compost but don’t block light. Pot on and plant out after the frosts spacing 40cm (16in) apart. Direct sow from late April.
Care Tips
Once the plant is established divide in spring. They usually produce lots of seed, so will come back year after year if they are in a good spot. Fine for gravel, clay soils and coastal gardens as fairly tolerant of salt.
