Until last year I avoided growing limonium (used to be called Stachys) in my garden

Too much maiden-aunt, summer-pub-fireplace for me. How wrong could I have been. These flowers for months solidly, particularly if you keep picking them regularly and of course, they’re the most sustainable things to have to decorate your house through the winter — the stylish everlasting brigade. I love the colour and airiness of this apricot form.

Cultivation
Sow under cover in spring. Sow thinly and keep warm and moist. Prick out and pot on when large enough to handle. Grow on in a light, frost-free place. Harden off before planting out after the frosts. Pinch back any 'leggy' seedlings when planting.

Care Tips

Avoid overwatering. Keep cutting for the vase to prolong blooming.
