Anemones 7

Create carpets of flowers or jewel-like daubs of colour with our favourite wood and garden anemone tubers and rhizomes. Try the prolific large-flowered anemone coronaria, which are much hardier than they look and provide a succession of flowers for several weeks or even months at a stretch. These are excellent for cutting and can last ten days in a vase. You can also plant smaller anemones, like anemone nemorosa or blanda, at the front of borders for a fantastic way to create a delicate, calm, undulating spring ground cover, in sun or shade.
